enLighten is a unique, popular and highly interactive type of lifelong learning. It brings museums, institutes, parks and universities to River Landing via live “face to face” video conferences. The presenter, usually a museum curator, musician, historian, park ranger or educator, leads participants on an interactive journey through the chosen topic.
There are hundreds of organizations around the world offering thousands of courses. Topics include astronomy, ecology, music, history, science, medicine, sports, technology, literature, arts, culture, ornithology, women’s studies—the list goes on and on. During the class, you will be able to ask questions that the presenter will answer. You can go to museums, parks, institutes or universities around the world without leaving River Landing.
“One of the many benefits of retirement is the ability to continue to learn about topics of interest—those that previously escaped out busy lives. The enLighten program provides that “golden” opportunity!”
“I really enjoyed the special insight of these experts, and the fact that the programs were live so the presenters could answer our questions.”
