Pebble Beach, our Skilled Nursing Community, consists of 44 Skilled Nursing beds and 16 Special Care beds. There are 40 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms, ideal for married couples. The skilled area is one story and is divided into two wings. There is a nurse's station centrally located on each wing. Nurses and nursing assistants are available 24 hours a day to provide skilled nursing care. There is a short-term Medicare rehab unit to allow the use of Medicare Part A skilled nursing days following a qualifying hospital stay. Residents on this unit receive intensive therapy services as needed. These services can include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Medical services such as x-ray, lab, EKG, etc., are available as well as IV's, respiratory care and wound management. Nutritional needs are carefully monitored by a clinical dietician. A select menu allows residents to choose among appropriate meal options.
River Landing offers individualized recreational therapy programs designed to enhance each resident's quality of life. Exercise, community outings, entertainment, music, pet therapy, arts and crafts, and sensory stimulation programs are offered on a regular basis. These programs offer residents the opportunity to continue previous leisure pursuits and to aid residents in learning new and adaptive skills to maintain active involvement in their daily lives.
Our Short-Term Rehabilitation program was developed specifically for patients who are stable enough to leave the hospital but still need some rehabilitative services that will allow them to maximize their independence and reach their goals.
Aquatic Therapy Services—Our short-term patients have the distinct option of using water as a resource for their rehabilitative needs. Many individuals who are unable to tolerate therapy on land can successfully participate in an intensive water program. Restrictions from recent surgery and other orthopedic conditions are better accommodated in water because of the supportive and gravity reduced environment. All aquatic therapy programs are designed by our own certified aquatic therapist.
An Individualized Program—Each patient will have his or her own intensive rehabilitative program. The plan of care will be developed from the personal goals set forth by the patient, his or her family, personal physician, and the healthcare team. Together with this comprehensive plan, we will help you achieve your maximum physical, social and emotional independence, quickly and safely.
